Hello, my name is Bashar and I would like to share a little bit about myself. I was born and raised in Iraq in 1980, and I am also known as Bashart Studio. Currently, I am based in a small town near Olten, Switzerland.

Since I was young, I have had a strong passion for the world of comics, particularly those from Marvel and DC. As I grew older, I found myself drawn to other comic styles from Japan and Europe, expanding my artistic influences.

Drawing comics has always felt like my calling. I find myself reaching for a pen or brush and a piece of paper whenever I have the chance, whether I'm on a train, at a bus stop, or simply at home enjoying a cozy atmosphere with plenty of coffee!

Over the years, I have gained experience in various creative fields, including graphic design, animation, TV production, and illustration. In Iraq, most of my exhibited work focused on children's comics. However, after the tragic events of the 2003 war, I decided to start anew in Switzerland, rebuilding my studio and brand. Since then, I have had the opportunity to participate in numerous art exhibitions throughout Switzerland, and I have been honored to provide live sketching services at notable events, including those organized by the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs. Additionally, I have been involved in illustrating books, storyboarding, designing advertisements and covers, creating small comics, and undertaking various commissioned projects.

As someone who believes in lifelong learning, I have taken part in several comic and storytelling courses offered by CGMA and other prestigious art schools. My art is heavily influenced by the detailed drawings of Batman and the distinct Niro style. However, I also enjoy experimenting with a looser and more simplistic drawing style, which can be seen in the works of Mr. Naoki Urasawa.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and my passion for creating comics.
